FY24-25 Grantmaking Paused
Thank you for your interest in Mount Zion Health Fund. The Board of Directors has paused its usual grantmaking cycles for 2024-2025 as the Board works to revamp its grantmaking processes and priorities to best support its philanthropic mission. While the Board anticipates evolving its internal procedures and aligning external grant mechanics, its mission remains unchanged: to support programs and research that improve the physical, emotional and spiritual health of vulnerable populations in San Francisco.
Updated information for the 2025-2026 application cycle will be posted as it becomes available, closer to June 2025. Please contact MZHF’s Administrative Director with any questions.
Please note:
- Educational Travel Awards. MZHF will continue to award small block grants to Mount Zion Campus-based departments/divisions in FY24-25; Mount Zion Campus-based faculty, staff and trainees should contact their department/division leader for information about funding after reviewing the guidelines here.
- Research Awards. MZHF will continue to award research-restricted funds in FY24-25, competed via the UCSF campus-wide Resource Allocation Program (RAP): https://rap.ucsf.edu/ and open to all eligible* applicants (*PI is part of the Mount Zion community, e.g., lab, research program or clinic located on the MZ Campus, and/or the proposed research project involves MZ patients). MZHF will also continue its sponsorship of MZ Campus-based UCSF Perstein Award and UCSF Watson Scholars. For more information about MZHF’s research awards process, contact MZHF’s: Administrative Director or Board Research Funds Committee Chair.
